Kaitlin Nieman is currently attending San Jose State University, working towards a BA in the Department of Hospitality Management. She has worked for the El Cajon Project since 2009, assisting with grant proposals, event planning, community outreach and student placement, along with additional administrative work. Kaitlin has known Betty Ewing for 25 years, having attended Betty’s preschool in Mountain View California. Kaitlin and her family have remained close friends with the Ewings ever since, with Kaitlin’s father serving as vice president of the company and Kaitlin serving as maid of honor last year in Betty’s daughter’s wedding. “I grew up with El Cajon, I have been there from the beginning in some way or another. Growing up I always knew Betty had another job besides teaching and over the years I have gotten to know and love the El Cajon Project and its mission and I love being a part of it.” Kaitlin is also fulfilling internship requirements for school by working with Southern Wine & Spirits who she hopes to get a full time job with after graduation.
